Thanks so much for the follow and for adding my button to your site! I put yours on mine as well. I love all of the pixel/3D art and lore stuff you've got on your site, and I'm a big fan of your mascot too! Also, Plastic Beach fans rise up!! What's your favorite song off the album? Mine's gotta be On Melancholy Hill.

Thanks so much! Your site was actually a source of inspo for me as I was building out the iterations of my current site. I've never seen an aesthetic like yours before - it's super unique! Oooh that's tough - I think Empire Ants takes the cake but Broken is a close second.

Congrats! with how cool your site is, it's well deserved. On a different note, would you be able to hotlink my button instead of hosting your own? I don't like it's design terribly much, but I wanted one people could use. I ask folks to hotlink it because I plan to update it, and that way it'll propagate to their sites with no work from them.

I updated the site last night so that my update posts have proper thumbnails and redirect to the right pages (thanks to TabF5 for the heads up and hydromecha for a solution!) so those should look better now. Also woohoo 10,000 views!

Hey man! I noticed all your pages look blank and unstyled in your feed posts whenever you update them, since it's all built on iframes. If you ever wanted to set nicer thumbnails for them, I recommend this custom thumbnail trick I found recently: https://control-neocities-thumbnail.neocities.org/

You can have a page that's only supposed to be in an iframe run some JS to detect if it isn't and then redirect to another page. I do something similar for my own site but the basic gist is: if(window.self == window.top) { document.location.href = '[LINK TO PAGE HERE]'; } This will also change the thumbnail to whatever the redirected page is.

This might be a bit tricky to test offline (this largely depends on how you're linking stuff) unless you can run your site as a local server. I use the method described here: https://stackoverflow.com/a/27986564

Ok I think I've got it figured out (thank you hydromecha!) I added a script at the top of every iframe that checks whether or not the link has "embedded=true", and if it doesn't, it redirects to the iframe version of the page. Then I changed my iframe loader script to fetch every page with "embedded=true" as a marker that it was opened via fetch instead of standalone.
